The negative reviews here are nowhere near close to an accurate reflection of how wonderful this little school truly is! My daughters have been attending Dutch Creek for four years, and will be for the next six. The staff at this school has been incredible in supporting my children academically as well as emotionally and socially. One of my children struggles with ADHD and I can't say enough how wonderful and supportive the staff has been. While the school itself is not staffed to handle students with severe disabilities, resources are available to help families with special needs to get the help they need for their children to be successful. My favorite part about this school us their Social Emotional Learning and Behavioral team. This strong core group of professionals has been instrumental in ensuring the emotional well-being of all students here. Incorporating the CREW aspect of EL education, students don't just learn academics at Dutch Creek. The whole school curriculum focuses on the whole child- so not only are they learning math and reading, but also conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and just plain how to be a darn good person in this world! If you're not sure about Dutch Creek. I encourage you to take another look. Don't listen to these outdated, negative reviews. There are so many amazing things about this school. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed!

This school has a serious bullying problem and favoritism is rampant. If you and your child aren't an east end snob you won't fit in. All they care about is money. Certain faculty members and teachers gossip about parents. This school is very unprofessional.

My child told me how the teachers aren't as great as her previous teachers. She doesn't like the school and she is not motivated. She said the teachers don't "foster learning habits" and she wants to go back to her old school.

Such an amazing school. My son loved Tashua from his first day of kindergarten through the last day of 5th grade. The support families get at Tashua is outstanding, the teachers love what they do, and parents get a lot of opportunities to be involved and make the school even better.

I chose Benway for my son Antonio, (dx ASD/ODD/ADHD) because I was looking for a school that could handle his behaviors with compassion and consistency, while still providing the necessary educational and academic supports. The thing I most liked about the time Antonio was at Benway is that teachers we encountered were always kind, patient and genuinely caring. One thing that really surprised me was the personal attention and interest the staff shows towards Antonio's holistic growth. Antonio began attending Benway in 4th grade, so we had experience with various placements. At Benway, we found the teaching staff created a welcoming environment in which our son was able to grow into his authentic self. When he returned to district in the middle of 10th grade, he was much better prepared to access the curriculum and perform at, and in many cases above, grade level. While social skills continue to be an area for development for Antonio, who is now a rising college freshman, he did learn to be more socially aware and to interact with his peers in an appropriate manner. Academically Antonio has built on the foundation Benway provided, been able to take gen-ed honors and AP classes, and will graduate in the top 15-20% of his class, with impressive GPA and SAT scores. He credits Benway with teaching him to regulate his behavior through direct teaching and clear consequences. I am so grateful for our time at Benway and feel that it was integral to Antonio's remarkable progress. I would highly recommend Benway to other parents.

My child is currently enrolled and has had an awful experience in this school. They have an IEP due to a disability that their staff neither read, nor followed. A student left a review here from the year prior, my child had a similar experience with their art teacher....who should be fired and is the perfect example of "Those who cannot do, teach". But beyond that, my child is failing multiple classes, and despite frequently reaching out for guidance on the how/why/ and how to fix, I'm given answers like "I have too many students to help one individual".....the one individual with a disability...and when I ask my child about their classroom environment and testing situation, they've shared that they are not provided additional time or an isolated environment per their IEP. There is also the issue with bullying. This school does not take bullying seriously. Rather than address the bullies or work to create a safe environment, they will isolate the child being bullied thus painting an even larger target. Our experience has been so bad with the school that we've made the decision to move out of the district because we don't want our child to go through 6 more years of this. We love our home, our neighborhood, and for the most part, the community....but we hate HATE the school system.

I loved this school under Kevin Hall but after he lift the major issues with the district, low pay & student behavior doubled. Teachers & admin left along with some good families. The Sped and administration need a major overhaul. The pay is well below the state average. They are simply not attracting applicants or families both new and old in the community.

I am not one that ever leaves negative reviews, but I am incredibly disappointed with Mitchell's Place. It was a huge waste of time and money. Months after we quit going, they randomly sent a past due invoice to my email. First of all, why am I just now receiving this invoice with a nasty past due notice? Second of all, I've already paid you hundreds of dollars for you to feed my child goldfish and applesauce. Backstory: I took my child to Mitchell's Place for feeding therapy upon pediatrician's referral. The office was extremely slow getting the paperwork done to get my child in. It took them 5 months to process the insurance approval. They told me the process could take 2-3 weeks. How did it take 5 months? Then we got started with feeding therapy. They never had my child eat any new foods. They kept giving him goldfish and applesauce, which he already ate. I tried talking to the therapist about meal foods. Then she brought out raw broccoli and raw cauliflower. I was trying to help him eat, not hate it any more than he already did. I pulled my son from their program months ago. I paid them hundreds of dollars to give my child gold fish and apple sauce. I took time off work. It was a giant waste of time. But I was glad the experience is over. Now they are coming back months later trying to bill me more. The date on the bill was already listed on the first bill I paid. Do not go there. Worst experience ever. I could go on and on about all the other ways it was terrible.

We are wrapping up our first year at King's Way and we love it here! My daughters are thriving academically, socially and spiritually. We went to a local public school last year and hated school because of the constant disruptions and lack of learning. Now they are engaged in the learning process, they are challenged by their teachers and LOVE learning again. I've been in the classrooms and have witnessed how wonderful the teachers are and how supportive Mr. Judd is. The teachers break down math and reading in a way that makes sense and makes it fun while always pushing kids to be their best. They also support kids socially and emotionally and I have seen them pour into them in a way that enables the kids to stand firm in who they are so that they can confidently handle anything that comes their way. My daughters also love chapel & learning about God. The Christmas and Easter programs were highlights of our year. Other reasons we love King's Way is all the additional offerings they have from library, PE twice a week, makers space, enrichment, music, (spanish and band when they get a little older), and our favorite, the morning mile. The morning mile offers time for connecting with friends and teachers and also promotes physical activity and a wonderful mindful start to each day. When picking a school it was important to us to find one that was accepting of non-believers as my husband is agnostic. We also wanted a school that cared about academics, challenged students, encouraged physical activity and health, created opportunities for social connection, left some of the political hot topics for home and offered a structure and foundation that enables a wonderful supportive learning environment. We found that at King's Way and it is worth EVERY penny to see my girls happy, healthy and growing each day. I was also really impressed with the foresight and planning that went into the safety team and appreciate how committed they are to preparing for all the things we hope we never have to deal with.

These teachers let them sleep all of the time. My son constantly comes home talking about how much sleep he gets at school. And when I say something about you shouldn't be sleeping in school. He says well all the teachers let us. Also my son was denied going to get his Chromebook out of the truck before school even started at 7:15. So he went and got it anyway because he needed it for class. Which he had made it back to class without being tardy. Then he got sent home and suspended.

This school needs to close and revamp the entire thing. For starters, the school couldn't open at the beginning of the school year like scheduled due to building code. The kids started the year off on Zoom and the teachers weren't teaching or putting in grades, but were marking them absent and were in the Zoom class. Contacting teachers about the situation became an email argument because they had to be correct when all along they weren't. When brought to admin's attention, all that's said was we'll speak with them and nothing is NEVER done. Now the school has opened and the child is face to face with the teacher, the teacher remembers the email and is mistreating the student because I went to admin. I agree when the reviewer said that the school only cares about dress codes and will write them up for it, and this is after speaking with them and letting them know it's ordered just waiting for it to come back. now, my kid has to serve detention. There is no concern about the safety of the kids and some staff. My student witnessed another student losing it and attacking a teacher by hitting and then leaving the class and vandalizing the school while putting his hands on another teacher. the student was suspended for about 3 days and was back at school like nothing happened. The thing that scared me the most was when they came in the class and told them there was no reason to mention this to their parents. I felt like some type of communication should have been sent out concerning the incident but instead, I saw it on Facebook after a treat was sent to the school. There is so much more that has happened there that I don't have space and time. ALL I CAN SAY IS RETHINK BEFORE SENDING YOUR CHILD HERE. they are better off in a military school.

I have 2 children who currently attend this school. I could not be more proud of the teachers, administration, and staff at A.C. Moore. Communication from the school is transparent and consistent. Principal Aldridge is absolutely fabulous and she cares so much about each and every student. She is always smiling and has positive vibes! The PTO is extremely active and there is constantly school events that bring our community together. My children look forward to going to school every day which is so important to me as a parent. My kids know that their teachers care about them and it makes them feel happy and safe.

My children look forward to attending to school at BNS each day. The teachers are warm, encouraging, and make each classroom experience unique. Project Based Learning is a fabulous way for students to absorb new information and demonstrate their knowledge. We have also had great experiences with coaches and club leaders. As a newer school, I have seen administration and staff pivot when school policies or systems need changing. We are looking forward to watching the sports, arts, and music programs grow in the years to come.
